Frequently Asked Questions
- Does this box satisfy the separate locked ammunition storage requirement in Queensland?
In Queensland, licence holders for Categories A and B must store ammunition in a separate locked container or a separate locked internal compartment. The SN1-Ammo satisfies this requirement, whether mounted inside the gun safe or secured independently elsewhere. Category D and H holders should confirm specific requirements with Queensland Police. See the Queensland Firearms Storage Rules page for a full breakdown. - Can it be mounted inside my Format DL Series or Sentinel Sniper Series safe?
Yes. The SN1-Ammo is sized to fit inside all Sentinel Sniper Series and Format DL Series (DL12, DL19, DL34) gun safes. Mounting hardware is included. If you are purchasing a gun safe at the same time, we can pre-fit the SN1-Ammo inside the safe before delivery at no extra charge - contact us when ordering to arrange this. - Can it be used as a standalone unit separate from the gun safe?
Yes. The SN1-Ammo can be mounted to a wall, shelf, or other fixed surface independently of the gun safe, using the supplied mounting hardware. This gives licence holders the option of keeping ammunition in a completely separate location to their firearms. - Does this apply to all Australian states and territories?
Separate locked ammunition storage is a requirement in most Australian jurisdictions, but the specific rules vary by state, territory, and licence category. Refer to the Australian Firearms Storage Rules - All States Checklist for state-by-state guidance, and confirm your specific obligations with your relevant licensing authority.
