The Format DL34 is the largest model in the Format DL Series gun safe range, designed for the storage of up to 34 long arms. Rated to the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Residential Security Container (RSC) standard, the DL34 is constructed from 12-gauge (2.7mm) steel and fitted with a UL Listed Sargent and Greenleaf (S&G) lock, available in either mechanical or electronic configuration.

At 1016mm wide and 335kg, the DL34 is the highest-capacity safe in the DL Series, suited to serious collectors and licensed holders with large firearm collections. It shares the same height (1498mm), fire rating, burglary rating, steel specification, and security features as the DL12 and DL19. Security features include three hardened steel door plates for drill-attack protection, an anti-pry tab, and a 5-spoke carbon fibre handle. The interior is fitted with adjustable gun racks and shelves lined in suede with leather trim. The DL34 is finished in black.

Queensland Firearms Storage — Format DL Series Compliance
All Format DL Series safes exceed 150kg, which means floor anchoring is not required under Queensland legislation for Licence Categories A, B, and C.

For Categories D and H, the safe must be bolted to the building structure regardless of weight. Pre-drilled bolt-down holes and concrete anchor bolts are supplied with every DL Series safe.

We recommend the Sentinel Sniper Series Ammo Box as a compliant separate locked ammunition storage solution. For Cat A & B firearms you have the option of securing the Ammo Box inside the safe (we can do this for you)

Fire Rating

• UL Listed fire rated for 60 minutes at 649°C.
• For best fire performance, install the safe at a lower level of the building where fire temperatures are typically lower.
• No safe is completely fireproof. If a fire reaches a sufficiently high temperature for a sustained period, damage to contents may still occur.
• Ammunition must be stored separately from other valuables. Do not store ammunition in the same compartment as documents or other heat-sensitive items.

• RSC vs TL-15 - understanding the difference:
  The UL RSC rating requires resistance to attack for a minimum of 5 minutes using hand tools. The UL TL-15 rating - used on the Format TL Series - requires a minimum of 15 minutes against a broader range of tools including power and cutting equipment. For buyers requiring a higher level of certified burglary protection, the Format TL Series should be considered.
• Drill-attack protection:
  The DL34 door incorporates three hardened steel plates positioned to resist drill-based attack on the locking mechanism. This is a meaningful additional layer of security beyond basic steel construction.
• Lock selection:
  Both mechanical and electronic lock options are UL Listed S&G locks. If selecting the electronic lock, the factory default master code of 1-2-3-4-5-6 must be changed before the safe is placed into service. Always verify the new code operates correctly with the door open before closing the safe. Four consecutive incorrect entries will lock out the keypad for 10 minutes.

This product is sold and supported in Australia by Sentinel Safes Pty Ltd (ABN 83 687 086 791), the Australian distributor for Format Safes and other brands in the Sentinel range. The following warranty cover applies from the original date of purchase:

• 7-Year Structural Warranty - covers the integrity of the safe body, including welds, hinges, and framework.
• 2-Year Electronic Warranty - covers the keypad, electronic lock system, and circuit boards.

Warranty is valid for the original purchaser only. Proof of purchase is required. The safe must be installed and used as intended, and must not have been modified or serviced by unauthorised parties. Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, misuse, and damage to contents stored inside the safe are not covered. Transport damage after delivery must be reported within 3 days of receipt.
